David Reni of Prudential Douglas Elliman Trys out for America Blu

The first of many positive outcomes for Prudential from their sponsorship . . . . David Reni of Prudential Douglas Elliman asked if he could try out for the open spot on the team. Last night he came to our shake out sail and tried out for America Blu. Here he is pictured with Cara Gold (Pit, left) and Eileen McMahon (Main Trimmer, right). Great job last night David!!

David grew up sailing and boating in Maryland. His parents owed marinas. Chris Hilton, our bowman could not attend the shake out sail. David filled in on bow on a boat that he was not familiar with and did a great job.

We were able to open the new Prudential spinnaker to stretch her in and to remind ourselves why we love the water so much.

  2. Donna,

Please tell me more about your foundation. As a life long sailor/racer I'm well aware of the underrepresentation of women in the sport. As the Publisher of LI Sail, a New York region sailing magazine found only at www.LISail.com,
I'd like to help you spread the word about you program. Please contact me at: Publisher@LISail.com
